Against the backdrop of Britain Industrial Revolution in the 19th century, this paper sorts out the evolutionary process of modern tennis transitioning from real tennis to lawn tennis, and analyzes the impacts of the rubber industry, lawn maintenance machinery, wood processing technology, railway networks, and the establishment of sports organizational systems on the formation of modern tennis. On this basis, it further explores how industrial civilization shaped the institutional logic of modern sports, and dissects the historical mechanisms underlying the global spread of modern tennis.
